So, how is your car's timing belt doing?
Have you changed it lately? If, ever? If not, you must make certain that the timing belt hasn’t been driven too many miles or you could be driving on borrowed time. Typically, a timing belt will last anywhere from about 60,000 miles to just over 100,000 miles; your owner's manual will spell that information out for you. A failed timing belt can occur at any time, but if you are on top of things you can avoid being left stranded. read more

Brogo
Situated 25kms north east of Bega on the Far South Coast of NSW, just 3 hours from Canberra and 6 hours south of Sydney, and just 40 minutes from the unspoiled beaches and lakes backed by beautiful coastal National Parks.
Visit Brogo Dam, which is contained within the Brogo wilderness area and the southern section of Wadbilliga National Park. The park protects rugged coastal escarpment and plateau areas surrounding the Wadbilliga, Tuross and Brogo Rivers.
Power boats are also welcome in this area. You can hire canoes to explore the Dam and gain access to remote pockets of bushland.
Explore tranquil rainforest gullies, and the rugged picturesque surrounds. Sheer cliffs overhang the water with rock orchids and ferns, while the surrounding bush harbours many native birds and animals.

Bermagui
Bermagui and Wallaga Lake have long been a fishermen's paradise, and now others are discovering this haven at the northern entrance to the Sapphire Coast. Surrounded by secluded surf beaches, estuaries, wetlands and coastal lagoons, with Mount Dromedary in Guluga National Park watching over the scene, the secrets of Bermagui unfold. A mere 9km diversion off the highway will lead you to this tranquil haven.
The continental shelf being at its closest point to the mainland, fine fishing is afforded off the shoreline. It's where warm southern currents flow and the big game fish are in tow.
Charter boats operate deep sea, dive and game fishing trips where black marlin and a chase of yellowfin tuna is a regular event.

Bega Cheese
Bega is the rural center of the Sapphire Coast, set at the gateway to the rolling pastures of the lush Bega Valley. Country life includes lazy creeks winding their way through paddocks of picture-book cows, and horses grazing against a backdrop of the darkly forested mountains.
While summer is the choice season in Bega for water activities - as well as horse riding, bushwalking and other leisure sports - the weather at other times doesn't preclude such fun, and in fact, opens more doors for your holiday.
